Kendriya Vidyalaya Tinsukia was born in the year 1986 with quivery legs but different outlook. But now KV Tinsukia is a force to reckon with. It has come a long way & is still to attain greater heights & excellence.

The Vidyalaya is now situated at Hijuguri Railway Colony, Tinsukia. but Vidyalaya is shifted to its new and permanent building at Naw pukhuri, Tinsukia shortly. The new building is constructed on a land measuring 7.53 acres, leased by NF Railway, with all the modern facilities required for unhindered intellectual, academic and physical growth of the students.

The Vidyalaya is upto +2 level having one section in each class from I to X and Science stream at +2 level. To ensure quality education the Vidyalaya has well equipped Physics / Chemistry / Biology labs and a computer lab with "Internet" facility. It also has a rich library comprising more than 4500 books on various subjects with regular subscription of 16 periodical / journals.
Students get ample opportunity to exhibit their hidden talents through CCA & extra curricular activities as well as Games & Sports. Special experts and coaches are also engaged to train the students properly. Moreover students can satisfy their adventurous mind through Trekking and Para-sailing.
